My journey to becoming a life coach wasn't some beautiful awakening. It was a crash landing.
I was ambitious, independent, successful. I built my life like a fortress—strong, controlled, untouchable. And I was proud of it.
Until my marriage fell apart.
Not because of cheating or falling out of love. But because I suffocated it with my "independence." I didn't need him—and I made sure he felt it. "I do everything myself, why do I even need a man?"
I thought I was being powerful. I was actually being impossible.
I wore the pants so aggressively that he became passive. My cortisol through the roof, his sense of purpose—gone. We both contributed to that ending, but my part? I confused control with strength. I armored my heart in the name of independence.
That was my wake-up call.
Here's what I know now:
